Limit the number of decision makers

Too many “decision makers” involved in the planning of a memorial service often creates unnecessary stress and even conflict. With good motives folks ask too many people their opinions on music, order, and poetry. Unfortunately if you have too many decision makers inevitably someone gets their feelings hurt. Emotions are already raw but this added tension is not what you need.

My advice? Keep the decision makers to two or three max
